Kids Yoga: Sept. 9-Oct. 3

Give your kids the gift of mindfulness, calming practices, new friends and fun exploration of movements through yoga designed for their age.

Kids will learn basic yoga poses, breathing exercises and short meditations. A fun class that will help build confidence and self-esteem while learning relaxation and coping techniques. The benefits of yoga for children include stress relief, balance of high or low energy levels, improved focus and a boost in imagination and creativity. Our class is led by mom and yoga teacher, Sherie Sloane, E-RYT/ YA-CEP. Sherie is an experienced kids yoga teacher who has led yoga, art classes and camps across the states for many years.

Lavender Relax & Restore

Friday, Oct. 25, 7-9 p.m.

Join us for an evening of pure relaxation, appropriate for all levels.  You will begin this workshops with Gentle Yoga poses.  You will then be guided into Restorative Yoga postures which use props to encourage you to completely surrender your body's weight, and therefore release all tension in body and in mind.  

Lavender oil will be used, and diffused throughout class.

This workshop provides restful healing on many levels.

Full Moon Women's Circle: A symbolic food experience

The tradition of the gathering of women is an age-old practice. Join us for a unique twist on this ritual. During this Sacred Sister Gathering on the full moon, we will symbolically utilize food to bring in deep healing, release and balance. By creating a space space to welcome vulnerability and rawness, we open the container for nourishing the body, mind and spirit.

The experiences we will share:

- Embodiment of the rich symbolism of healing foods like medicinal bone broth and seed cycling treats

- Guided meditation to tune into our intuition and open our hearts

- Oracle card pulling with reflective journaling

- Sacred talking circle to hear, empathize, relate and share with your sister

Join yoga & mindfulness teacher, Sherie Sloane, on a journey to deeply relax your body and mind. Working from the outside in, we will begin with gentle movements to ease physical tensions and make your way into a soulful and mindful relaxation. Yoga Nidra, sometimes referred to as ‘yogic sleep,’ is a restorative meditation that guides you into conscious awareness of each part of the body for deep and effortless relaxation.

Yoga Nidra is not about falling asleep. Rather, Yoga Nidra induces a deep state of relaxation and inner awareness. This technique is effective for stress reduction, weight loss, improving sleep and easing tensions within the body. 

You will benefit from a relaxing workshop in a beautiful, cozy, welcoming, and serene space. You will leave feeling completely rejuvenated.

All levels welcome. Space is limited. Please bring a blanket. You’re welcome to bring your own mat, pillows, bolsters & eye covers for personal comfort. Kids 13+ with a guardian are welcome to attend.

Live Music, Yoga & Kirtan w/Katie & Kevin

Kevin Roy Kramer of and Katie of co-create a class WITH eachother and WITH students. You'll flow through a gentle, beginner's style yoga class while Kevin plays acoustic music using repetitive sounds and melodies that he creates with his guitar, a hand percussion set (on his guitar!) and a looper machine. The class informs his music and his music is intuitive and different each time we work together. The music also informs the class, so its a continuous balance of back and forth! Yoga class is about 75 minutes and then we have an extended savasana for the last 10-15 minutes. After asana, we gather for a kirtan circle. Kevin shares some traditional kirtan mantra in sanskrit as well as some of his original kirtan in english. It is very inclusive, educational, relaxing and positive. The entire event is about 2 hours.

Candlelight Reiki & Restore

Restorative yoga combined with Reiki provides an antidote to the stresses of daily life, promoting balance and calm within the individual. Experience Reiki's light, healing touch as you rest in restorative poses supported by props, eliciting the body and mind's natural healing and relaxation response.

This workshop will be facilitated by Lesa Bradford, teacher at Yoga on Wolf and certified Holy Fire Reiki II practitioner.

A Salute to our Moon + Gong Healing w/Theresa Sima & Warren Armstrong

Set an intention for what you want and harness the energy of the full moon to help you get it! 

This workshop will commence with a brief, private journal entry to clarify and strengthen your intentions.  Once intentions have been set we will begin with deep breaths and simple stretches that will nourish the body and leave us feeling limber. We will then move through several rounds of a Moon Salutation at a pace that will allow us to slow down and truly savor all of the wonderful effects it has on the body. To reward our bodies for moving so mindfully, we will then find a comfortable position for final relaxation, and bask in the healing of Warren Armstrong’s gong and the smell-good of a lavender temple massage. This workshop will be held in a candlelit room to the sounds of Native American Flute and is truly an experience you don’t want to miss.

Developing Self-Esteem in Preteen Girls (9-12)

The theme of this workshop is GIRL EMPOWERMENT and self-esteem!  

In this workshop participants can look forward to a Yoga practice, breathing exercises, art-journaling and mindfulness.

During the journaling portion, the girls will be encouraged to focus on visions for their summer months.  Journaling supplies will be provided.

The workshop will end with a special craft!

This workshop is the third Girl Empowerment Yoga Workshop facilitated by Karen Fitzgerald. Karen has extensive experience teaching all age groups. She believes that self-esteem and empowerment can guide young ladies to a place of acceptance and confidence.

4 Week Myofascial Stretching Series w/Laurie Myers, LMT

This Myofascial Stretching class is designed to empower you to release your own fascial restrictions using gentle, effective stretches and self-treatment tools.  You’ll increase body awareness, improve mobility, decrease your pain/discomfort and in turn, feel energized enough to return to an active lifestyle.

You’ll be lead through a 60 minute class where you’ll learn to how to engage the fascial system using a self-treatment ball (included), myofascial stretching techniques to improve awareness and how to use mind-body connection to facilitate healing.

You will also learn:

• How the fascial system could be contributing to your pain and tightness

• How to connect and tune in with your body so that you can hear the pain messages before they are out of control

• How 5-7 minutes a day can increase your quality of life by improving your pain and mobility

• How to use simple techniques to create a home based program to release your fascial system and keep you feeling great.
